iPad Apps - iBooks

iBooks
A must have from Apple. Besides use it to read books you buy from iTune store, you can also add your own books (like PDFs) through iTune.
The animation of flipping pages is amazing.

Don't forget to get the free text book: Life on Earth (1G in size). 

You can rotate the DNS models using your finger in the book!

What I don't like is it takes a while to start this app. I don't know what Apple is doing during this time.

iPad Apps - GoodReader

GoodReader
Best PDF reader on iPad. Faster than iBook. Easy to manage files inside the app itself (like file manager).
It is easy to add PDF file. I use the following two method:
1. Through Dropbox. No need to connect to computer.
2. Connect to computer and use iTune to add the files.

It supports the new iPad retina display recently. Enjoy the crisp clear fonts!

Type words to find solutions for each level. My kids love this game. I love it too because it helps them to learn how to spell words.
It is amazing to find out there are many ways to solve a problem.

My favorite app to read news, technical articles and facebook posting. 

I like the way multiple articles are presented in tiles so you can quickly decide which one to read. I also like the way to turn to next page by swipe you finger (flip). 

It comes with lots of sources you may also add you own. 

It supports the retina display of the new iPad.

iReader - for both phone and tablet. Similar to Apple iBook but can download free books in Chinese. 
Dolphin Broswer HD - for both phone and tablet. Can import your Google bookmarks.
ezPDF Reader - Best PDF reader I found so far. 
Dropbox - Easiest way to sync files
Duomi Music 多米音乐 - Free songs with synchronized lyrics.
搜狐视频 - for tablet Free movies and TV. Quality is pretty good.
